Offline Marketing Business: How to Get Past the Dreaded Gatekeeper?

Offline Marketing Business -- GateKeeper
Q: Ok, I’m using someone else’s material on starting my own offline marketing business. I’ve made about two sales in the last three months. I’m very discouraged. I can’t seem to get past the gatekeeper. Can you tell me how you get past the gatekeeper? How do you get through to the business owner?
A: Hmmmm…. never has been a problem for me. I train my students how to get small business owners to call them. This way there’s no gatekeeper to worry about. No rejection. No sales pitch.
As long as you continue to see this as a sales process you’ll keep running headlong into a brick wall.
As I’ve mentioned in other posts, your title is “Offline Marketing Consultant” not “Offline Sales Person“. It’s not just a matter of attitude. It’s a matter of how you conduct business.
Sales people chase after sales. Consultants educate their clients and prospective clients and then invite them to use their services.
Sales people have to ask for referrals. My students never have to ask for referrals because each client gives them as many QUALIFIED referrals as they can. The average being 15 QUALIFIED referrals per client.
Licensed Offline Marketing Consultants don’t have to wonder when and where the next “sale” will come. Instead they wonder, “Do I really want another client?”
Think about it,
Talk to you soon….
