Offline Marketing: Can I Really Make $ 15,000 My First Week?
Q: I’ve read that some people who start their own offline marketing business make up to $15,000 their first week, is this possible? It doesn’t seem realistic. I can’t imagine anyone making that much money.
A: It’s possible however it’s highly unlikely that someone new to offline marketing is going to earn this kind of money unless they know someone or already have resources.
Let me share a quick story with you…
Back years ago when I was in college and selling Am way there was a story about an 18 year old girl who on her first day sold more than a $1000 worth of Am way. She thought it was great. Everyone raved about how if someone so young could do this then anyone should be able to do this. She had no experience with selling or business.
Then the backstory came out as to how she did it.
Come to find out, her father was the mayor and she had gone to all of his friends and asked them to buy something. Because they wanted to help her out they all bought something. The result was that she sold $1000 or more of product in one day.
Is that something she could duplicate? Is it something that others in her downline could duplicate? Very doubtful.
When you hear about someone new selling and collecting HUGE checks while you’ve been struggling and can’t even earn enough to buy a hamburger don’t be overly impressed. Find out what the backstory is.
I know of one ex-real estate agent who is selling offline marketing courses and telling her students of how easy it is. Talks a lot about her big checks and how business owners are simply handing over $15,000 checks to her.
What’s the backstory?
First she has experience with selling and working with professionals. Second, is that she has business contacts. Third, she has been employed by several major companies and has previous relationships with many of them. So she knows who to call, who to present to and more importantly she has a previous relationship with them. They know her.
You on the other hand are completely new to this. May have no business contacts. May have no previous business relationships with a huge company who can afford to hand over a $15,000 check.
I’m not saying that you can’t earn that much money and more.
What I’m saying is for you not to buy into believing that these people are the standard for this industry. That everyone goes out and immediately starts earning $15,000 checks. This is not the norm.
What is the norm?
That really depends upon you and how quickly you can face up to your fears.
Earning $5,000/mo within your first 45 days in business is extremely realistic if you’re willing to get out there and put in the effort required. If you don’t procrastinate and immediately start working then $5000/mo is realistic. If you’re going to sit there and stare at the computer screen too afraid to print out a letter or pick up the phone then it won’t ever happen for you.
That’s what my Licensed Offline Marketing Liaison program is about. I take you by the hand and teach you what to do. It doesn’t matter if you’re an introvert or an extrovert. If you have a sincere desire to build an offline marketing business and you’re willing AND able to do the work required you can be a success.
Don’t worry about how long it will take you. What if it takes you five months to earn $5,000/mo? What if it takes you ten months? It’s still better than nothing, right?
Think about it,
Talk to you soon….
