What’s an Offline Marketing Consultant?

Q: I am curious as to what the difference might be, if any, between an online marketing consultant and an offline marketing consultant?

A: That would depend upon who you speak to. Some offline marketing consultants call themselves online marketing consultants and some online marketing consultants call themselves offline marketing consultants. Confused?

Personally this is how I differentiate them…

The Online Marketing Consultant works with online businesses. Helps them to optimize their websites, promote their web sites and generally drive traffic to their websites.

An Offline Marketing Consultant works with offline businesses or what we call “brick and mortar” or “Mom & Pop” businesses. Helping them to use the Internet to build their business.

I’m sure there are many who would disagree with my definition. I personally didn’t use the term “offline marketing consultant” until just recently. Before this year (2009) I just used the term “marketing consultant“.

I’ve been training marketing consultants for quite a few years. Providing them with a duplicatable marketing system to build their own business. I’ve only recently added the “offline” part to help those interested in this type of training to more readily identify what I have to offer.
